Following the success of Lou’s Elevate Your Sales workshop and initial feedback from attendees (who thought the workshop was clear and concise, well planned and above all, found it beneficial to learn how to deliver a ‘proper’ sales pitch), Lou will be a part of South Gloucestershire Council’s business support programme for 2016/17. Elevate’s workshops have been put in place throughout the year to help SME in South Glos to focus on elevating their sales, grow and secure revenue to influence their bottom line, and increase profit.
Elevate provided the opportunity for some members of our Sales & Growth team to review current practices and look at ways that these can be improved. The sessions enabled staff to explore best practice using a commercial perspective and approach to lead generation and sales and Elevate were able to provide them with some new key skills to improve the effectiveness of their sales technique and process. The feedback from the team was very positive. One member of staff said: ‘I thoroughly enjoyed the training and feel it will be invaluable when dealing with enquiries and leads. Lou is an experienced sales person and it showed, very knowledgeable and a good structured course.
I met Lou recently at a business breakfast event and she seemed very pleasant to talk to. We arranged to meet up to discuss the possibility of her providing some sales training for me. I later spent the day with Lou and she took me through the whole sales process and gave me some useful tips to boast my sales. I started off a complete sales novice but now feel I have the insight and skills that will ensure I secure more sales for my business.

We commissioned Louise at Elevate to assist us with some competitor analysis. Louise was tasked to call a range of competitors to ascertain their level of services along with their pricing models. As a marketing agency we needed to ensure that the calls completed were accurately handled as the data being collected was forming the foundation of the report being compiled. Louise was very responsive to our needs, overachieved on the task at hand and was a pleasure to deal with. In fact we were so pleased with the quality of the work that we extended the brief and asked Louise to undertake some additional calls.
I asked Elevate if they could design a course to help my newly formed team, understand how they interacted with each other and how each other’s personalities if understood, help to maximise the performance of the team. Some of my staff were very sceptical about this. But Louise put together a superb day/course for us that overcame those original misgivings. My team has come together and uses the technique’s that she showed us in their interpersonal dealings with each other and others. The course was very good value and the results we have seen already as repaid the original outlay. I would thoroughly recommend this to others.
Working with Lou has made a huge difference to the way we approach sales at Nautilus Financial Planning. A few years ago I met Louise when she worked for a radio station, Louise used her sales skills and signed me up and I have been on the radio advertising my company Red berry Recruitment Ltd ever since. Louise decided to set up her own company, so when she contacted me I was keen to support her new venture but also utilise her sales skills in training some of my team. The feedback that my staff gave Louse included comments such as “it has broadened my knowledge for sales and using a structure”, “ it was in-depth, interesting, engaging, with lots of good information and ideas”, “ it was enjoyable to learn different sales techniques and the session on the gate keeper was excellent”. Having been promoted into the role from quite a different role, I feel I might have been a little lost in my new role if it were not for Lou. She has given me the tools and knowledge I need to really make a success of my new career and drive forward the growth of my company.
Best of all though is Lou’s friendly approach, it really doesn’t feel like a training session. I look forward to our days together as it is more like a friendly chat to guide me and help me develop than the more formal lecturing style you find with some other trainers.
